James Hawes is believed to have founded a carriage makers in the early 1700s. At some later point, probably around 1830 they also began providing funerals and as time progressed became dedicated funeral directors basing themselves in Hackney, London.

Today in addition to also assisting some smaller funeral directors we have three branches of our own all with reception area, arranging office, chapels of rest and relevant other facilities.

Our main garage and stock room is behind our registered office still in Well Street, Hackney.
